We Are Open!!! Silver Button Tavern Private Room Now Available for Rent!
Since its inception, The Silver Key Lounge was always going to be run as a restaurant styled operation with guests being seated by a host, orders taken at the table by the server, and games delivered with drinks to the table. All food is prewrapped and never touched by any staff member. Guests are also welcome to bring food in from outside sources. We have safely prepared meals that guests can order from our closest neighbors, i.e. IF Café, Native Grill and La Famiglia Italian Restaurant.
The Store Front Area:
The first area the guests will enter is the store front. This is a retail area where the Host will greet guests and see if they are here for the Lounge area or for the retail area. The host’s duties will be to make sure each guest is aware of mask requirements upon entering, point out the sanitizing station located in the retail area and to lead the guests to a table. Other duties include wiping down, with sanitizing wipes, merchandise after its been handled by a guest, sanitizing door handles frequently, temperature checking each guest as they enter and keeping a strict count of the current occupancy of The Silver Key Lounge as to not go over the 50% restrictions.
The Main Lounge Area:
This is the largest area of The Silver Key Lounge. It has single sided booth seating on two walls. One wall has three booths and the other has four booths. The center booth of the three-booth wall will be shut down for spacing requirements. Two of the four booths on the other wall will be staggered closed to allow for the spacing requirements. Each booth in use can accommodate 4 guests. There will be twelve standard 3x3 tables and 4 oversized board game tables laid out in the main area with the booths. These tables will be staggered closed to accommodate the spacing requirements. Each standard table can sit up to 4 guests and the oversized board game tables can sit up to 8 guests. One of the oversized tables will be more isolated towards the back of the Lounge area along with two 2x4 coffee tables. These three tables are spaced apart to follow the Covid spacing regulations.
There will be hand sanitizing dispensers located at the end of each booth wall, one on the board game library wall, and one on the metal support beam located near the back of the lounge. A small 1-ounce bottle of sanitizer will be on each active table for the guests to use and take with when they leave. Guests can remove masks once at their table, but if anyone would need to get up and go to the bathroom or leave the lounge all together, they must put their mask back on.
The Main Lounge Area Board Game Library:
The board game library is a unique area and one to be extra cautious of due to many guests and staff handling such games. We have a portable sanitizing mister unit that we will use on each board game and pieces within such games. The fine mist will sanitize as well as not harm the more delicate cardboard pieces within each game box. Cards will have plastic sleeves and will be easy to wipe down with a sanitizing wipe. Once a game is sanitized, it will remain in a one-hour quarantine so that the disinfectants can do their job. Once the hour is up, the game will be released back onto the library shelf for continued use by the guests. Only the Game Master and Serving staff can handle games going into or out of the library. Guests cannot grab a game from the shelves at any time. Digital menus and paper throw away menus will be provided to the guests to decide on game selection.
The Bar Area:
Bar top seating will be closed for the duration of the regulations so that we can maintain a safe distance between staff and guests. Only staff will be permitted to be at the bar top area to receive drinks from the bartenders and to run physical monetary transactions at the main register. Guests may approach the bar top area to take a closer look at the current taps available. All ordering must be through the server though. No bar top orders from guests will be allowed at this time. All food is prepackaged and kept here in a cooler. There is no prep area as all food is ready to sell and prepackaged from the distributors.
Bistro and Miniature Painting Area:
This area will have four tall bistro tables, two of which will be closed off for spacing regulations. Each table can sit up to four guests. Close by near the office entrance will be a eight foot work table that can sit up to four guests. This table is primarily used for guests that want to have an area to paint miniature figures for their board games. They can bring in their own paints and brushes or purchase them from the retail store area. All the tables in this area will be supplied with a one-ounce sanitizer bottle for their use and to take with when they leave. There will be a wall mounted sanitizing station near the office door. In the corner of this area and next to the office door is a soft drink free style machine. Guests can refill sodas at this machine. The bartender is primarily responsible for its cleanliness and upkeep during open hours. The soda machine will be wiped down regularly with food safe sanitizing products. All cups will be made available through the servers.
There are two private rooms available to guests to rent. These rooms will be rented in hourly blocks. Prior to a room being occupied, the staff will sanitize the chairs, table, door handles and any other area that may be used by the guests. Each room will have a sanitizing station mounted on the wall inside the rooms. Room One is a smaller room that will have a maximum occupancy of six guests. Room Two is a larger room that will have a maximum occupancy of ten guests. Between each use the rooms will be sanitized and reset for a safe usage by new guests. Besides wiping down with sanitizer, each room will be misted as well.
Each bathroom will be checked every half hour to maintain a regular sanitizing schedule so that the guest’s safety is always maintained. Toilets, sinks and paper dispensers will be wiped and refilled regularly. Servers, Bartenders and Game Masters will all take turns maintaining the cleanliness of each bathroom. Soap and sanitizing dispensers will be available in each bathroom along with a hands-free paper towel dispenser.
